Columbia Pacific CCO is on the Way to Wellville
We are so excited and proud to announce that Clatsop County has been chosen as one of the Way to Wellville Challenge Five.

Out of 42 communities in the country, only five were chosen to participate in this five-year wellness endeavor. Columbia Pacific CCO sponsored participation in this challenge, along with many other community partners.

Columbia Pacific CCO and its Clatsop County partners will focus on chemical dependency, mental health, access to primary care medical homes, employment, obesity and food access, and prenatal education and care. We may also include one or more of the CareOregon IDEO innovation projects.

"This is a great example of what CareOregon is all about: Collaborating with community partners to improve health."
Mimi Haley

As one of the Way to Wellville five, Clatsop County will receive support and technical assistance in the areas of data and measurement, evidence-based health solutions, and innovative financing strategies from HICCup, a national nonprofit organization, At the end of five years, the community with the greatest success in improving health will receive $5 million.

For this achievement, we can thank the great work of our CCO team, including Claire Ranit, Nancy Knopf and Jaclyn Testani, as well as community leaders in Clatsop County.
